The Foundation seeks to organize, sponsor, and engage in activities in the Western Pennsylvania region and beyond that foster connections, provide for underserved community members, and empower local organizations in the spirit of service and generosity.

History

In Loving Memory of Dr. Jay Passavant

The Foundation, created in 2022, honors the life and legacy of Dr. Jay Passavant. Pastor Jay was the founding pastor of North Way Christian Community Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He established a culture of love, kindness, and empowerment for the Pittsburgh community through service and community involvement.

Pastor Jay's life was driven by a profound calling to ministry that began during his time at Washington & Lee University and grew stronger during his service in the United States Marine Corps. Over the following 50 years, his life, leadership, vision, and teachings influenced countless thousands.

His legacy remains alive today in those that he so powerfully led, including his immediate family and 10 grandchildren.

Board of Directors

Our Board members lend strategic guidance to all Foundation activities. We strive to honor the life of Dr. Jay Passavant and continue to amplify his impact. We organize, sponsor, and engage in events in the Western Pennsylvania region while ensuring funds are managed in accordance with Foundation objectives.

The Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
